I want to photograph the Red Mosque in Pettah. Can female tourists go inside, and what is the strict dress code?

Yes, women can enter during specific visiting hours (outside of prayer times). You must be fully covered—long pants/skirt to the ankles, long sleeves to the wrists, and a headscarf covering your hair. If you aren't covered, they provide long cloaks at the entrance for free.

They gave me a cloak, it was super easy. The architecture inside is absolutely stunning. Just avoid going on Fridays as it is the main prayer day and closed to tourists.
