Panama village is famous for its massive herds of water buffalo that graze on the edge of the national park. The homestays serve the freshest, thickest curd (Mee Kiri) set in traditional clay pots. Served with pure Kithul treacle, it is the ultimate dessert after a long, dusty leopard safari in Kumana.

Watch out for the crocodiles in Panama! They chill near the bridges where the buffalo drink.

The clay pots absorb the excess whey, making the curd incredibly thick, almost like Greek yogurt. It is so good.
