I want to do a full, authentic Ayurvedic Panchakarma detox. Some resorts offer 3-day packages. Is that legitimate?

A 3-day package is just a wellness spa vacation (massages and herbal baths). A true, medical Panchakarma requires deep internal cleansing and strict dietary phases. Authentic Ayurvedic hospitals will tell you that the absolute minimum for a basic Panchakarma is 14 days, with 21 to 28 days being the standard.

Those 3-day things are just tourist traps that slap the word "Panchakarma" on a generic oil massage menu to charge double.

I suspected that. I will look for dedicated hospitals requiring a 14-day stay. Thank you for confirming.

I did a 14-day retreat at Barberyn. The first few days are just preparation (internal oiling). You cannot condense a 5-step medical detox into a long weekend.
