Is it better to do the red double-decker open-top bus tour in Colombo, or just hire a tuk-tuk for 3 hours to see the sights?

The open-deck double-decker bus is great for a quick 2-hour overview without breathing in exhaust fumes and dodging traffic. However, a Tuk Tuk gives you the flexibility to actually stop, go inside temples, and try street food at your own pace.

We did the "Tuk Tuk Safari Colombo". It was incredible. They use custom convertible tuk-tuks with coolers full of local beer and take you to hidden street food spots.

The Tuk Tuk Safari sounds exactly like my vibe. Going to look that up now.
