I want to try the Shirodhara (warm oil poured on the forehead) treatment. Is it safe for people with sensitive skin.

Shirodhara is very safe and deeply relaxing, but authentic centers will use medicated herbal oils (like Brahmi) which have strong scents and active botanical ingredients. If you have severe skin allergies, you MUST tell the Ayurvedic doctor beforehand so they can substitute it with pure, neutral sesame or coconut oil.

Be prepared to have oily hair for two days! It takes several washes to fully get the herbal smell out.
