Lake wall, the ugly open drain, one rubber sandal is in it. Not stolen - gravity. Crowd is still packed. Hopping 200 metres in this feels like how people go down. Is there a "wait for the drain" version of this or does someone actually fish in there.

Do not fish in a Kandy lake drain in the dark in a crowd. Hop inland to a shop and buy another pair. One-footed on Dalada is an ankle and a needle. The sandal is gone.

We watched a guy try. Police told him to get out of the gutter. Buy slippers.

If you need both feet for a claim photo, photograph the drain and move. Not worth tetanus for a rubber sandal.
