Shorts in the bag for 5.30 Tooth - wrap at the door or find cloth tonight
Everything we stood in is still damp. Clean set is shorts and a sleeveless. FAQ: shorts, sleeveless, body-revealing not permitted; appropriate clothing can be obtained at the entrances. 5.30 Saturday, still dark. Borrow a wrap at the door in the dark, or walk inland now at 10.39 for a cheap cloth while one shop might still be awake.

Published: no shorts / sleeveless / body-revealing; appropriate clothing can be obtained at the entrances. That is the official safety net. I cannot swear whether the cloth stall is staffed at 05:30 on a Perahera Saturday. A sarong you already own is simpler than betting on a dark counter.
Do not wander Dalada at 22:39 "for a shop." Inland if a light is on, or use the damp long trousers and live with the smell. Shoulders covered. Footwear off at the booths - two separate booths for locals and foreigners.
Door had wraps. We paid something small I will not guess here. Having our own would have been faster in the dark.
