Taking photos at hidden waterfalls near Ella

We are tired of the crowds at Ravana Falls. Are there any hidden waterfalls nearby where we can set up a tripod peacefully.

Yes, hike towards Kithal Ella waterfall. It is located deep in the jungle right off the railway tracks on the way to Ella Rock. Very few tour groups go there. The cascade is smaller, but you can set up a tripod on the rocks easily without being bumped into. The pool is also much safer for swimming than Ravana.

Secret Waterfall is another good one. Ask a local tuk-tuk driver to take you to the trailhead.

Bring mosquito spray and watch out for leeches. The jungle there is thick and damp.
