The freshly fried vadai (lentil fritters) are usually safe because they are cooked at high heat. Avoid pre-cut fruit or anything with cold water.

If you are worried stick to bottled water and hot tea from the vendors.

The salt is fine but the fruit might not be washed with filtered water.
