Uber just launched in Kurunegala - does that mean it finally works outside Colombo or do we still live on PickMe

App store people still say Uber is dead in Sri Lanka. News this week says they switched on Kurunegala after Kegalle and Ratnapura. We land, do Colombo, then a van. Should I even download Uber or is that 2019 muscle memory.

Uber is not dead. It is useful in Colombo and it is poking into a few more towns this year. PickMe still has the density, especially tuks, especially outside the Western Province. Install both. In Ella, A-Bay, Jaffna, you will stare at Uber's empty map. That is normal.
