I am confused by the massive green fruits here. Locals use different names. Are they all Jackfruit?

"Kos" is young/green jackfruit cooked as a savory curry (an amazing meat substitute). "Waraka" is the fully ripe, sweet, yellow fruit eaten as a raw dessert. "Del" is Breadfruit, which is a different species entirely, usually boiled or curried like a starchy potato.

The roasted jackfruit seeds are also delicious! They taste like roasted chestnuts when boiled or baked.

Waraka smells very pungent, almost like durian, but tastes incredibly sweet like honey and banana. Give it a try!

Don't forget "Polo", which is the baby jackfruit. Polo curry is darker, spicier, and has the texture of pulled pork. It is a delicacy.
