We are heading to Ahangama for the weekend nightlife. Do the clubs like Lamana and Trax have strict noise curfews, or do they go until sunrise.

Sri Lanka has strict residential noise laws. Most Ahangama beach clubs have permits that only allow loud, open-air music until midnight or 1:00 AM at the latest. After that, police patrols will force them to turn the music off. However, some venues have sound-proofed indoor "bunker" rooms where the party continues until 4 AM.

Get to the clubs by 9 PM. If you show up at midnight expecting to start partying, it will be over soon.

The police are very strict about this now because locals complain about the heavy bass.
