I am deciding between Ahangama and Hiriketiya for a two month stay. Which has a better remote work community.

Ahangama is slightly larger and has a more established, diverse coworking scene with places like Cafe Ceylon and NETS. It attracts a slightly more mature remote working crowd.

If you prioritize extensive coworking facilities, choose Ahangama. If you prefer a laid back, barefoot lifestyle where you can walk everywhere, Hiriketiya is better.

Hiriketiya is smaller, beautifully set in a horseshoe bay, and has a very tight knit, walkable community. It feels much more intimate but can get crowded during peak season.
