I want to try the snacks sold by vendors on the train platform. Are they safe?

They are a cultural staple! The wade (lentil fritters) are usually freshly fried and very safe. The tea is boiled. Just avoid anything that looks like it has been sitting in the sun for hours.

If you have a very sensitive stomach, maybe skip the street-sold cutlets (meat rolls), but the vegetable ones are usually very fresh.
