Are there any colorful Hindu temples in Nuwara Eliya.

Yes, despite the strong British colonial architecture, Nuwara Eliya has a vibrant Tamil community and features several beautiful Hindu temples. The Seetha Amman Temple in nearby Sita Eliya is the most famous and culturally significant.
Right in Nuwara Eliya town, you can also visit the Sri Swarnagiri Maha Viharaya, which has incredibly bright, ornate facades that contrast beautifully against the misty, cool climate of the hill country.
The Seetha Amman Temple is incredibly colorful and features thousands of intricate statues. According to the Ramayana epic, it marks the exact spot where Princess Sita was held captive by King Ravana.
