A highly frequent frustrating scam involves incredibly aggressive local tuk tuk drivers forcefully taking you to completely fake roadside spice gardens or heavily overpriced low quality tea factories where they secretly earn massive hidden commissions on your purchases. Always strictly insist on going exactly to your explicitly requested destination.
Also be very careful with random friendly individuals eagerly offering completely unsolicited guided walking tours of the beautiful tea plantations. They will aggressively demand an extortionate massive cash fee at the end of the short walk. You should strictly stick to officially established estate factory tours.
