Yes, the massive reservoir in Udawalawe National Park is home to a very large population of mugger crocodiles. It is absolutely strictly forbidden and highly dangerous to get out of your jeep near the water edges. You must remain inside the vehicle at all times unless your guide explicitly stops at a designated, secure rest area.
