Authentic Ayurvedic treatment centers in the south - recommendations?
I want a genuine Ayurvedic experience, not a tourist spa. Any centers in the south coast that locals actually use and that offer proper consultations?

For authentic treatment, look for centers attached to traditional Ayurvedic doctors rather than big hotels. 'Siddhalepa' has a good reputation but is more clinical. Smaller places in Unawatuna or near Galle like 'Ayurveda Walauwa' or family-run centers recommended by locals are better. Always ask for a proper doctor consultation first, not just massage menus.
Many 'Ayurvedic' places are just massage parlors using the name. If they don't ask about your dosha (body type) and medical history, it's not real Ayurveda.
