Bentota beach safe for swimming right now? Any currents?

Heard some beaches have strong currents. Planning to swim tomorrow. Is it okay or better to stay in pool?

Bentota can have currents sometimes. Check with hotel staff or locals that day. If waves look big, better pool. Many people swim but be careful.

Yeah ask the hotel lifeguard or staff. They know daily conditions.

With my kid we used the pool when it looked rough. Safer.
