Hangover Hostels is universally the most popular social hub in Ella. It is located very close to the train station, offers incredibly clean dorms, and organizes great daily group activities.
Tomorrow Land is another fantastic, highly affordable option. It has a brilliant chilled out vibe, great communal areas for meeting other travelers, and extremely cheap bed rates during the off season.
If you want something slightly quieter but still budget friendly, check out the small family run guesthouses on Waterfall Road. They often rent single rooms for the same price as a hostel dorm bed.
