Marble Beach is an absolutely phenomenal deeply secluded spot. It is located inside a heavily protected naval area meaning it is meticulously clean and totally free of massive tourist development. The water is incredibly flat and crystal clear.
Do not miss Fort Frederick specifically the dramatic cliffs at Swami Rock. While the temple there attracts locals very few foreign tourists explore the massive historic fort grounds which offer spectacular quiet views over the deep blue bay.
Another brilliant secret spot is Coral Cove located slightly north of Trincomalee town. It requires a short hike down a dirt path but you are rewarded with a pristine highly isolated beach perfect for peaceful snorkeling entirely alone.
