The Demodara Loop itself is a marvel, but hiking the surrounding tea trails offers immense peace. Walk from the Demodara station up into the Blackwood estate. The dirt paths wind through endless green hills where you will only encounter smiling tea pluckers, completely away from the noisy tourist hubs.
