Best SIM card for tourists - coverage in south, hill country and north?

I need good data for maps and translation. Which network has the best coverage across different regions - Dialog, Mobitel or Airtel?

Dialog has the best overall coverage, especially in the south coast and Cultural Triangle. Mobitel is excellent in the hill country (Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Knuckles). Airtel is decent but can be patchy in remote areas. Buy a Dialog tourist SIM at the airport - they have good packages and you can top up easily everywhere.

I used Dialog the whole trip and had signal almost everywhere, even on trains and in small villages. The tourist package was cheap and easy.
