During the peak summer season from May to September the wind is incredibly consistent almost all day long. However the absolute best time for photography is late afternoon between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM.

Make sure you position yourself on the eastern edge of the lagoon looking west so the riders are perfectly illuminated by the setting sun rather than being backlit into silhouettes.
