If you are staying for a week or two, simply buying a tourist SIM and using your phone as a mobile hotspot is completely sufficient and much cheaper. The 4G speeds are identical to what a dongle provides.

However, if you are a serious digital nomad staying for several months and connecting multiple laptops simultaneously, buying a dedicated portable 4G router from Dialog is brilliant. It handles multiple devices much better and preserves your phones battery life.
