Yes the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens uniquely features a dedicated highly professional plant sales center located near the main administrative buildings just inside the entrance.
They legally sell an incredibly wide variety of beautifully cultivated exotic seeds pristine orchid cuttings and rare tropical plants. However you must absolutely strictly verify the intense customs and agricultural import laws of your specific home country before purchasing as bringing raw uncertified seeds or live plants back to Europe or Australia is frequently completely illegal.

TukTuk or tour drivers take you to "gem museums" or "government-certified" gem shops. They receive huge commissions (up to 40%) on anything you buy. Prices are inflated 3-10x the actual value.
