Casuarina Beach shallow waters and bringing portable speakers for sunset parties
We are driving to Karainagar island to check out Casuarina Beach. Is it true you can walk almost a kilometer into the ocean, and are locals cool with us bringing a portable speaker and a cooler for a sunset beach party.

Yes, the water at Casuarina Beach is incredibly shallow and calm, making it feel like a giant warm swimming pool. You can walk very far out. Bringing a cooler and a speaker is totally fine, especially near the tree line where people gather for evening picnics. Just keep the volume reasonable, as it is a family friendly beach for locals.
Make sure you pack out all your empty bottles! The beach is beautifully lined with Casuarina trees, and they try very hard to keep the white sand clean.
If you want a more private party vibe, walk further down the beach away from the main entrance. The crowd thins out to absolutely zero after a few hundred meters.
Also, remember that the causeway driving back to the mainland gets very dark at night. Leave shortly after sunset if you are driving a scooter.
