We want to attend a secret jungle rave outside Ella town. Since we will be drinking, how do we secure a reliable tuk tuk driver who will wait for us until 4 AM in the jungle.

Never assume a driver will just be waiting out there. You must negotiate a "standby rate" with a driver beforehand. Talk to the driver who takes you to the rave, and offer him a premium (e.g., 4000-5000 LKR total) to park and sleep in his tuk-tuk until you are ready to leave. Ask your hostel for a trusted driver, as you want someone who will not just abandon you if they get bored.

Do not try to walk back down the Ella-Wellawaya road in the dark. There are wild elephants and leopards in those hills.
