Dialog or mobitel for data in south coast? Which is better lately
Need decent data for maps and work. Anyone compared recently in galle/unawatuna area?

Dialog usually edges it out for coverage in most tourist spots down south. Mobitel is fine too but sometimes slower in smaller places. Get the tourist package or just regular prepaid, both work. Many nomads use Dialog.
Yeah Dialog seems more consistent lately in the south. Easy to top up anywhere too.
Scam Watch: galle
Someone befriends you and offers a "once in a lifetime" opportunity to buy gems at wholesale prices and resell them abroad for huge profit. They may show you fake export certificates. The gems are worthless glass or low-quality stones.
Restaurants without visible prices. Bill arrives with inflated charges (500 LKR coconut becomes 1500 LKR). "Service charges" added without disclosure.
