Avoid smaller networks like Hutch or Airtel if you plan to travel outside of major cities like Colombo or Galle, as their high speed coverage drops significantly in rural coastal areas.

Mobitel is also highly reliable and sometimes performs slightly better in very remote jungle areas inland from the coast, but for general beach towns, Dialog is the supreme choice.
