I want to see the production process. Can I just turn up at a place like Pedro Tea Estate or Damro or is there a formal schedule.

Most of the major tea factories like Pedro or Damro do not require advanced booking for their standard tours. They run sessions every twenty to thirty minutes throughout the day. You can just walk in, pay a small fee, and join the next group. They will show you the drying, rolling, and fermenting stages. Every tour usually ends with a tea tasting session overlooking the plantation. Just be aware that most factories do not process tea on Sundays or public holidays.
