Yes, the vast majority of the artifacts displayed in the Kandy National Museum have small, printed informational plaques written in basic English, Sinhala, and Tamil.

While you can easily understand what the objects are, the plaques lack deep storytelling. Hiring an official guide at the entrance makes the ancient Kandyan history and the significance of the royal weapons vividly come to life.
