Doing the 6 AM Mirissa blue whale safari hungover from a beach rave

As a captain, I can tell you this is an absolutely terrible idea. The deep Indian Ocean swell off the coast of Mirissa is notoriously choppy. Even perfectly sober people get severe seasickness. If you come on my boat hungover and sleep-deprived, you will spend the entire 4-hour trip vomiting over the side of the railing and you will completely miss seeing the blue whales.
I did exactly this last season. It was the worst morning of my entire life. The smell of the diesel engine mixed with the rocking boat and my hangover made me wish I was dead.
Is there a later boat we can take, like an afternoon tour, so we can sleep in.
The ocean gets significantly rougher in the afternoon due to the wind, which is why all official tours leave at 6:30 AM. Either skip the rave, or skip the whales. You cannot do both successfully.
