I want to fly my drone to capture the full height of Diyaluma Falls Is the mist at the base too intense for electronics

Yes the base of Diyaluma is a hurricane of mist If the wind blows toward you your drone motors will suck in moisture and short circuit The best strategy is to launch from the upper pools instead where the water is calm and there is zero mist You can fly out over the edge to get the scale shot safely

The sheer height of it 220m means you will lose line of sight quickly if you fly from the bottom Be careful

Keep an eye on the wind drafts near the cliff edge They can overpower a small drone

Bring a polarizing filter to cut the glare off the water

Also watch out for eagles They nest in the high trees around the falls and will attack drones
