Ella 5am is 25 degrees and gusts 36 - packing Kandy's 22 jacket for the wrong hill
If we zip for 5am Ella (other thread), partner is packing the Kandy overnight 22-degree layer as if Little Adam's at dawn is the lake. Ella Saturday 5am on the same 22.27 stamp is 25 and gusts around 36, then 8am already 30. Are we packing the wrong cold, or is 36 km/h at 5am still a hat on that ridge.

Ella Saturday 5am ~25C / 80% / gusts ~36; 6am 26 / 36; 8am 30C / 32. Kandy overnight low 22C is a different page. 36 km/h at 05:00 on a ridge is a hat-and-hold-the-phone, not a close. The heat by 08:00-10:00 is the actual Ella problem, then 1pm 37 / feels 41. Light layer for the van AC, not a Kandy 22C costume. I cannot swear 22 Aug trail closure - none I can see.
If you cannot be on a ridge at 08:00 because you stood the 4th, skip the peak, not just 6:28.
Van was freezing, ridge was warm, 1pm people looked cooked. No invented trail ticket.

TukTuk or tour drivers take you to "gem museums" or "government-certified" gem shops. They receive huge commissions (up to 40%) on anything you buy. Prices are inflated 3-10x the actual value.
Men approach tourists near Temple of the Tooth offering to be guides. After the tour, they demand large "donations" or guide fees (5000-10000 LKR).
