The absolute must see Hindu temple in Jaffna is the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil. It is incredibly massive, spiritually profound, and features stunning, towering golden architecture. The daily pujas there are mesmerizing.
If you take the ferry to Nainativu Island, you must visit the Nagapooshani Amman Temple. The intricately painted gateway tower and the vibrant interior rituals make the long journey there totally worthwhile.
Another highly important site is the Naguleswaram Temple located near the Keerimalai hot springs. It is one of the oldest shrines in the region and offers a very peaceful, ancient atmosphere right next to the ocean.
