To get to Delft Island, you must take a bus or tuk tuk from Jaffna town to the Kurikadduwan Jetty, which takes about an hour. From there, you catch the government ferry boat across the water.

The ferry ride takes roughly one hour. Once you arrive, you can easily hire a local tuk tuk to give you a tour of the island to see the ancient baobab trees and the incredible wild horses roaming freely.
