Finding genuine Ayurvedic doctors for consultation (not just massage places)?
I want a proper Ayurvedic consultation and treatment plan, not just a spa massage. How do I find qualified practitioners?

Look for government-registered Ayurvedic hospitals or clinics rather than hotel spas. The National Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital in Colombo and some regional hospitals offer authentic consultations. Qualified doctors will do a proper assessment (pulse, questions about your constitution, etc.) before recommending treatments. Some reputable wellness centers attached to doctors also exist. Be wary of places that push expensive packages without a real consultation first. Ask your guesthouse for recommendations to registered practitioners.
Genuine Ayurvedic treatment often involves diet, lifestyle advice, and sometimes internal medicines alongside external treatments. It's a medical system, not just relaxation.
