Galle Fort Sunday market if it keeps raining - still a thing or just wet linen on a wall
Sunday in the Fort. Forecast is the usual August drip. Is the rumoured Sunday market / pop-up still happening in the wet or do we just do ramparts, church, and a long lunch. Last train/bus north is 4-ish in our heads.

Some makers still set up under arches / in courtyards if it is only drizzle. A proper dump and they pack. Do not build the day on it. The Fort itself - ramparts (slippery), Dutch Reformed, lighthouse, cafes - is the Sunday. Buy cinnamon and a paperback if the stall is there; do not wait in the rain for a hat you can get on Pedlar Street any day.
One jewellery table, three umbrellas, we retreated to a cafe. Fine Sunday.

Restaurants without visible prices. Bill arrives with inflated charges (500 LKR coconut becomes 1500 LKR). "Service charges" added without disclosure.
