My beach clothes smell terrible. Does local laundry remove the ocean smell.

They utilize intensely strong locally produced detergents and heavily dry the clothes in the blazing direct tropical sun which naturally kills any lingering damp odors perfectly.

You will receive your clothes back tightly folded smelling intensely fresh and sunny. They usually charge an incredibly cheap flat rate per kilogram making it highly convenient for backpackers. Just do not give them delicate silk items as the rough washing process will ruin them.
