I might need a check-up or prescription refill. Any recommended private facilities?

Private hospitals in Colombo (Nawaloka, Asiri, Lanka Hospitals), Galle, and Kandy have good standards and English-speaking doctors. Many cater to both locals and international patients. For routine needs or minor issues, they can usually see you quickly. Pharmacies attached to or near clinics can fill prescriptions. It's worth having travel insurance details and any relevant medical history with you. For anything beyond very minor issues, private facilities are generally faster and more comfortable than government hospitals, though both have competent doctors. Some hotels have relationships with local clinics and can help arrange appointments.

Private hospitals in major towns are good. Many hotels can help arrange appointments with trusted local clinics.
