If you suspect Dengue, do not wait. Go immediately to the Dickwella Base Hospital, which is only a short tuk tuk ride away. They are highly experienced in treating Dengue and can perform the necessary blood tests instantly.
If you prefer a private facility with international standards and air conditioning, hire a taxi to the Asiri Hospital in Matara. They have excellent diagnostic labs and english speaking doctors.
In the meantime, absolutely avoid taking Ibuprofen or Aspirin, as they can cause severe bleeding complications with Dengue. Only take Paracetamol for the fever until a doctor officially diagnoses you.
