It is an epic hike but prepare for mud. April brings afternoon thundershowers to the highlands, so start your trek at 6:00 AM from Bambarakanda. Yes, there are leeches in the lower forested sections near the waterfall, so wear leech socks or apply Siddhalepa balm to your boots. The views at the hairpin bends are incredible right now.
