Hiriketiya bay itself is quite loud at night. For wellness and yoga, you want to book a homestay or eco-lodge slightly inland or over the hill towards Dickwella beach. Places like Jasper House or Salt House have great yoga shalas, but for a true homestay, look on the roads leading AWAY from the bay. The local hosts will gladly cook you healthy, traditional vegan rice and curry if you ask.

Dickwella is way quieter and only a 15-minute walk from the Hiriketiya surf break.

Ask your homestay for Gotukola Kanda (herbal porridge) in the morning. Best wellness drink ever.
