It gets extremely cold at the summit of Sri Pada, often dropping close to freezing temperatures with heavy, biting winds before dawn. You absolutely must pack a thick fleece sweater, a windbreaker jacket, and a warm beanie hat to wear while waiting stationary for the sunrise.
