We want to swim at Bambarakanda falls. Will the water be freezing.

Yes the water cascading down the massive waterfalls in the deep central highlands is notoriously incredibly freezing cold year round. It flows directly down from the highest mountain peaks where the night temperatures drop massively.

While taking a quick plunge into the crystal clear rock pools at the base of Bambarakanda is an incredibly thrilling highly refreshing experience after a long sweaty hike do not expect a warm tropical bath. You will quickly jump out to warm up in the sun.
