The guided factory tours at almost all the major tea plantations in Nuwara Eliya, such as Pedro Estate and Bluefield, are incredibly cheap. They typically cost a nominal fee of around 250 to 500 Sri Lankan Rupees, which is just one or two USD.

This tiny entrance fee almost always includes a very informative twenty minute guided walk through the processing machinery, and concludes with a complimentary cup of freshly brewed BOP black tea on their viewing terrace.
