I work remotely and need stable power and internet. What should I expect from 3-4 star hotels and good guesthouses?

Most decent 3-4 star hotels and well-established guesthouses now have generator or UPS backup for power outages, which still happen occasionally. WiFi quality varies — higher-end places usually have good fiber connections, while smaller guesthouses can be hit or miss. It's always worth asking specifically about backup duration and WiFi speed before booking if these are important for work. Many long-stay visitors test the connection on arrival and have mobile data as backup. Places that cater to business travelers or digital nomads tend to have better infrastructure.

Power backup is now standard in most decent hotels. WiFi is generally good in towns but can be slower in more remote areas. Always have mobile data as backup.
