You do not need a guide to hike to Lovers Leap Waterfall. The trail is very straightforward. You can take a tuk tuk from Nuwara Eliya town to the Pedro Tea Estate factory, and the hiking path starts right next to it.

The walk takes about 30 to 45 minutes up a gentle dirt road winding through the bright green tea bushes. It is incredibly picturesque and very safe to do alone.

Just wear comfortable walking shoes, as the path gets slightly rocky near the base of the waterfall. Enjoying a hot cup of tea at the Pedro estate cafe afterwards is highly recommended.
