The Nilavarai ancient bottomless well is very easy to find. It is located just off the main road in the Navakkiri area of Jaffna. You do not need a guide; you can simply hire a tuk tuk to drive you there. The square well is steeped in fascinating local legends and is believed to connect to the ocean through underground tunnels.
